Approach and method of software dependability  

 

THEMATICS

The main themes tackled within the WG are as follows :

• Global dependability approach for software ( methodological guide published in year 2000, being revised)​
• Comparison of standards referentials on this topic
• Constitution of a design referential for dependable softwares​
• Analysis of problems linked to components off the shelf (COTS) in software dependability
• Functionnal and   dysfunctionnal  modelling at  system level and software level

 

OBJECTIVE

This WG objective is at first to be an exchange place for informations, sharing of experience and pooling of problems between field experts.  Rich of these multiple experiences, the WG can go into document edition, IMdR project promotion or thematic working day organization.

 

PRODUCTION

The WG is behin IMdR projects, papers publication and workshop animation at  Lambda Musymposia, thematic IMdR working days and edition of various guides among which the more recent are :

• The Guide « Démarche et méthodes de conception de logiciels sûrs de fonctionnement »

 

 

The WG gathers people concerned by software dependability issued from various trades:          Dependabilty responsible , designers, consultants, contractors being computer scientist, designer or system integrator.
